What a crazy couple of months it has been with all those emails flooding our inboxes with new and updated privacy policies and everything else we need to know under a new set of privacy rules for the European Union. GDPR, General Data Protection Regulation, is all about making sure each of us know how our information may be used by those we share it with. Fines are steep for violators, and understanding the requirements are onerous.
But in the end, it is about knowledge for each of us on what we provide and how it is used. For example, for our little company, we think you either want or don't want our emails. We do not buy lists or sign people up without their knowledge, and if you have had enough, you always can unsubscribe. We have been following the regulations for the EU Safe Harbor and EU Privacy Shield for many years, the precursors to GDPR.
We just want to do what is right by you, our customers and friends. We do not want any personal information, we simply want to stay in touch, but only if you want to stay in touch.
